Proprietor Mark Abernathy is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, with over 20 years of professional recording, performance and teaching experience.
Born in San Francisco and raised in Hong Kong, Abernathy earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Boston's prestigious Berklee College Of Music. While at Berklee, he studied with such notables as Jim Kelly, Bob Stanton, Bruce Bartlett, Livingston Taylor, and many others.
Pop icon David Byrne called Abernathy's recent album 'What Fair One Is This' a "damn good record." Additionally, his recorded version of 'All Is Well' was commissioned for Stephen Karam's off-Broadway 'Sons Of The Prophet' which was a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
Past music instruction clients have also included actor Eddie Murphy and famed music manager Trudy Green (Mick Jagger/Michael Jackson/Aerosmith).
Abernathy was also a former PR manager for Apollo 11 astronaut Dr. Buzz Aldrin.
He is the former director of Manhattan's Upper West Side Children's Choir.
